There’s no escaping it: South Korea is everywhere. In our headphones with K-Pop, on our screens with K-dramas, in our bathrooms with Korean beauty products… and of course on our plates with the boom in bibimbap, kimchi and Korean barbecues. In short, the Land of the Morning Calm is more than ever on a roll, and Paris has totally succumbed to the trend. The proof: on September 20 and 21, 2025 , the Jardin d’Acclimatation hosts the first edition of the K-Festival, an entire weekend to celebrate Chuseok, the Korean harvest festival. With gastronomy, music, workshops and festive shows, get ready to experience total immersion without leaving the capital, with this eagerly-awaited Korean festival.
A corner of Seoul in the Bois de Boulogne
Imagine strolling down the aisles of the Jardin d’Acclimatation, and suddenly the sounds of Korean drums resound, dancers in multicolored hanbok twirl, and the spicy scent of tteokbokki titillates your nostrils. Welcome to the heart of the Korean garden, a little-known area of the park which, for a weekend, will become the stage for a total immersion in Korean culture. Donated by the city of Seoul in 2002, this 5,000 m² landscaped garden was restored in 2012.

Here, you can travel without a plane. With traditional music, folk dances and modern stages, everything is designed to immerse you in the atmosphere of a popular Korean festival. A change of scenery guaranteed, just a stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées.
Highlights of the Korean festival at the Jardin d’acclimatation
- The Korean market, where you’ll find it hard to resist the scent of Mayak Kimbap, steamed ravioli and grilled kebabs. It’s time to taste, test and (re)fall in love with Korean street food. Warning: you may leave with more sauces than you bargained for in your tote bag.
- Culinary workshops with chefs. Get your hands dirty and discover the secrets of emblematic recipes. Perfect for an evening out with friends.
- Shows and performances. Explore folklore with traditional drumming and dancing. There will also be K-Pop competitions that promise to turn the Garden into a giant stage. If you already know your BTS and Blackpink backup singers, now’s the time to shine.
- Martial arts and traditional games. The more athletic can take part in taekwondo demonstrations. You can rediscover Korean children’s games, such as jegichagi (a kind of foot-badminton) or tug-of-war. Yes, a bit like Squid Game, but in a fun, family-friendly version!
