While the sun is definitely back and putting a smile on our faces, the heat is quite stifling and can discourage many from taking even a single step. Fortunately, in Paris, there are real oases of coolness to refresh you… Parks, gardens, woods, pools, rooftops… everyone is looking for their own little corner of paradise. But sometimes, you don’t have to go far to find what you’re looking for. We’re taking you just a stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées, to an absolutely legendary spot: Fouquet’s. Right next to the restaurant is the hotel of the same name, which just opened its utterly exotic garden terrace this year… And we bet it’ll be your go-to spot all summer long!
Joy: the garden terrace everyone’s talking about
Located in the Fouquet’s hotel, this magnificent, entirely plant-filled restaurant offers a haven of bliss just a stone’s throw from the most beautiful avenue in the world. Welcome to Joy! In its cozy, still very intimate setting, you’ll hardly believe you’re just a few steps from the hustle and bustle of the Champs-Élysées. Here, nestled in almost lush greenery, you’ll truly feel like you’re on vacation…

A feeling that will shine through on the plates, as the talented chef Claudia Rivera Valdezcrafts each dish using seasonal ingredients. For the starter? We recommend the grilled asparagus on a bed of stracciatella, or a perfectly executed langoustine carpaccio with citrus. Then the festivities continue with a beef tenderloin tartare that’s to die for and its simply divine potato mille-feuille. Finally, those with a sweet tooth will succumb to the frosted lemon, just perfect for refreshing the palate during this season!

As you can imagine, the cuisine here is masterfully executed and promises a true escape for your senses. An unexpected oasis in the heart of the Golden Triangle that will bring you joy on sunny days!
