As the warm weather settles in Paris, the Jardin d’Acclimatation has just unveiled one of its most significant recent projects. The former Île aux Pirates et Corsaires has been completely redesigned to accommodate a new space designed for children, with a large, completely transformed wading pool as its centerpiece.

The space was designed as a true world of adventure. With marine-themed decor, water games, and relaxation areas, young children can now enjoy a refreshing space right in the heart of the park. Around the wading pool, four free playgrounds have also been installed to extend the experience far beyond just water play.
This renovation is part of a broader strategy to modernize the Jardin d’Acclimatation, which has been continuously expanding its family-friendly offerings for several years. The reopening of the Pirates and Corsairs area is thus accompanied by two new attractions designed for the whole family.
Among the park’s most notable new additions is the Dragon Challenge, the attraction recently inaugurated on the site of the former Chinese Dragon. Inspired by an Asian fishing village, it propels visitors at nearly 50 km/h through tight turns and a scenic course.
With its 18 hectares, attractions, gardens, and numerous events held throughout the year, the park continues to reinvent itself without losing what has made it a success for over a century.
