The Hôtel des Invalides is one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. Nestled in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, it is now a vast cultural complex that houses the Army Museum, a cathedral, and a gold-covered dome. The dome, covered with 13 kilograms of gold and standing 110 meters tall, is known for housing Napoleon’s tomb… But after dark, visitors are treated to an entirely different spectacle! A breathtaking sound-and-light show that will let you discover this monument in a whole new light.
The Hôtel des Invalides, a must-see cultural and historical site in Paris

King Louis XIV wanted a place for his wounded soldiers… They built him a true gem! The Hôtel des Invalides was later expanded to include the Dôme Church, a true architectural gem whose dome rises to over 100 meters high. In its magnificent circular gallery, you can admire the immense fresco by Charles de La Fosse, *Saint Louis Presenting His Arms to Christ*. A truly fantastic, monumental work that you’ll enjoy examining in detail from every angle.
