In Paris, this new experience takes you to the heart of the music through spatialized sound
That is the promise of Alcôv, a temporary auditorium designed as a space where you no longer simply come to listen to music, but to let yourself be carried away by it, with your body and senses fully engaged.
Here, for the first time, spatialized sound—previously reserved for professional studios—becomes an experience to be lived, at the heart of a circular space where the music literally surrounds you.
43 sound diffusion points, 40 minutes of wandering, and music becomes a space to explore
Here, there’s no stage to watch, nor an audience sitting quietly in front of the performers. Forty-three sound diffusion points surround visitors, shifting the instruments and making them appear elsewhere. In the center of a circular space lined with screens, everyone can wander freely for 40 minutes and discover the work from their own listening position.
An experience that lies somewhere between the collective energy of a concert and the intimate escape of listening with headphones—but on a grand scale. The promise: to deliver a listening experience previously reserved for professional studios, in a setting accessible to everyone.
Vivaldi – The Four Seasons unfold all around you

A bird sings, a stream flows, a storm approaches, then ice cracks. In 1725, Vivaldi composed *The Four Seasons* and turned nature into a true musical narrative. Three centuries later, Alcôv invites you to step into the score. Théotime Langlois de Swarte and the Ensemble Le Consort recorded it for the auditorium, and each instrument has its own sound space within it. You take your seat in the center, where the conductor usually stands, and then set out on a journey of discovery: one voice draws you to one side, another answers from afar, and it’s up to you to choose where to turn your ear. The visuals and lighting extend the journey, creating an experience that is both intimate and communal.
You thought you knew *The Virgin Suicides*. Listen to it one more time. As if it were the first time.

In 2000, Air composed the soundtrack for *The Virgin Suicides*, Sofia Coppola’s cult classic film. Stretching layers of sound, weightless melodies, a gentle and almost unreal melancholy: in just a few notes, the album captures an era, an atmosphere, a world of its own.
Twenty-five years later, Air revisits this work with Roger Neill to reorchestrate and record it specifically for Alcôv. This time, the music no longer remains in front of you—it surrounds you. Stereo gives way to spatialized sound, with each instrument finding its place in space to create a new, dynamic, and profoundly innovative listening experience all around you. All you have to do is move or change your listening position to discover a new nuance. Visuals and lighting accompany this reinterpretation, like a new thread stretched between the film, the album, and your memories.
