Intense heat wave in Paris this week: heading toward a heat wave alert?
Less than a month after last May’s heatwave, temperatures are set to rise again! Starting this Wednesday, a heatwave will hit the entire country, with a high expected this Thursday of nearly 40°C.
For experts at La Chaîne Météo, it’s hard to say whether this heat wave will last a few days or intensify for even longer. Most weather forecasts predict maximum temperatures ranging from 32 to 37°C between Wednesday and Sunday.

What’s causing this rise in temperatures? A high-pressure system coming from the Maghreb and moving north toward France… As a result , temperatures are expected to stay above 20°C for five nights in a row… A few showers and even thunderstorms could occur by the end of the week, though this is not certain.
In any case, as always, take precautions and be very careful during this extreme heat!
