Starting this weekend, a unique venue reopens its doors in northern Paris. Set on the former tracks of the Petite Ceinture, the Jardin des Traverses kicks off its 2026 season on Saturday, March 21, with a program running through the fall.
A festive open-air venue spanning 7,500 square meters
Located in the 18th arrondissement, between Porte de la Chapelle and Porte de Clignancourt, this nearly 7,500-square-meter site has established itself in just one year as one of the most pleasant spots as soon as the warm weather returns. People come here as much to stroll as to enjoy a drink or take in a festive open-air event.

The space functions as a true third place, halfway between a community garden and a cultural space. Stretching about 800 meters long, visitors pass through vegetable gardens, herb gardens, and plots cultivated by various organizations. The idea is simple: to reconnect visitors with nature without leaving Paris.
To mark the reopening, a festive opening day is planned for this weekend. Starting at noon, homemade food will be served, featuring produce from the garden or local farmers. Then, the festivities will officially kick off with an open-air party from noon to midnight, featuring Louise Petrouchka, Effort Collectif, Sapphist Eye, and Noon to Midnight on the turntables.rt

Once the season kicks off, the Jardin des Traverses will be in full swing. Concerts, workshops, stand-up comedy, conferences, and performances will follow one after another throughout the summer, with an emphasis on accessibility and sustainability.
With the return of spring and sunny days, open-air dance halls and third places are among the top spots to visit. Between strolls, breaks in the sun, and festive programming, the Jardin des Traverses stands out as an outing to keep in mind for the coming months.
