What is Glow Circus?
Glow Circus is an innovative circus show that fuses Japanese art with LED technology. Five experienced artists in luminous costumes perform breathtaking acrobatics with phosphorescent props such as sensu fans and wagasa umbrellas. This hour-long audiovisual experience blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy, and creates a universe where circus, color and light combine in harmony. The show takes place at the Salle Jacques Higelin in Paris, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement.
The story behind the Glow Circus acts
Glow Circus tells the story of a young tourist who discovers a mysterious elevator in the heart of a Japanese city. A magical journey begins, as each floor of this mystical elevator transports you to a new universe, and a new element inspired by Japanese culture. This young traveler, along with you, will encounter benevolent spirits and fascinating landscapes, creating an immersive experience that’s the height of adventure.
The show skilfully blends past, present and future, with a backdrop of futuristic cityscapes and animated digital streets. In addition to these projected backdrops, the choreography will masterfully integrate traditional circus equipment such as cyr wheels, diabolos and hoops, all accompanied by electrifying recorded music that amplifies the visual impact of the LED costumes and phosphorescent props. It’s this artistic fusion that will create a unique audiovisual experience where modern technology meets ancestral craftsmanship.
