Madame Arthur, located at 75 rue des Martyrs in the 18th arrondissement, is the headquarters of Pride. Since 1946, this cabaret club has provided a stage and a refuge for transgender and queer artists, long before the word “Pride” was even used. Eighty years later, the venue has lost none of its splendor or its commitment. For Pride Month 2026, Madame Arthur isn’t content to simply display a rainbow flag in its window: it’s hosting three events that show us why it remains irreplaceable on the Parisian scene.
A cabaret show that takes us back to the origins
From June 18 to 28, Thursday through Sunday starting at 8 p.m., the curtain rises on *Madame Arthur, Proud of Its History*, the season’s final show. The performers Lola Dragoness Von Flame, Klaude, La Biche, and Charly Voodoo take the stage for a journey back to 1946—the year the cabaret was founded—and bring back to life the figures who made this venue what it has become: Bambi, Coccinelle, and Fétiche, transgender icons who found their voice here.
The show blends cabaret glamour, historical narrative, and the entire creative universe that shapes Madame Arthur’s DNA. A place of freedom that has given a voice to transgender icons. Eighty years later, the stage is still ablaze.
La Tardigrad: a Pride night until dawn
On June 27, the very night of the Pride Parade, Madame Arthur transforms into a club to host a party conceived in collaboration with Vendredix: La Tardigrad, Pride Night. From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., 75 rue des Martyrs becomes the ideal playground for those who want to keep the party going until the end of the night.
The name pays homage to the tardigrade, that microscopic creature reputed to be indestructible. On the program: happenings, Madame Arthur’s creatures roaming freely through the venue, a special Pride Blindtest, and DJ sets by VendrediX and Madame Arthur until dawn. All of it “sprinkled with plenty of surprises,” as announced.
On the runway at the Pride Parade
Also on June 27, but this time in broad daylight, Madame Arthur will take the official stage at the Pride Parade at République. Three of her characters—Madeleine Flamboyante, La Believance, and La Mulette—will represent the house there, proudly flying the colors and championing the rights of the LGBTQIA+ communities.
In June, when Paris is decked out in rainbow flags for a few weeks, Madame Arthur is one of the few places where the rest of the year doesn’t feel like a mere interlude. For this 2026 edition, which marks the cabaret’s 80th anniversary, the program lives up to the occasion. Three events, one venue, a story that’s far from over.
