In November, 17 street artists will take over the legendary Poste du Louvre for the 3rd edition of the Festival d’Art urbain et contemporain. Live performances, monumental works, an ephemeral boutique and international guests… On two floors, in the heart of a place steeped in history, experience an immersion in contemporary urban art. The best part? The event is free and open to all.
A free street art exhibition in Paris, punctuated by live painting and encounters with urban artists.
Save the date! This November, talented street artists will be placing their stencils and spray cans at the heart of an iconic Parisian landmark: the Poste du Louvre, an Eiffel-style building erected in 1886 by architect Julien Guadet, and recently renovated.
This architectural gem will host the 3rd edition of the Festival d’Art urbain et contemporain, conceived by Sophie and Julien of Galerie Roussard, whose work includes the Street Art Madeleine exhibition and, more recently, Juste une illusion à Charenton.
17 renowned street artists take over the former Louvre post office
During this creative week, 17 street artists will reinvent this historic site through an immersive experience in contemporary urban art. With free admission, the festival is designed to be an artistic and visual promenade, bringing together street art enthusiasts, exhibition-goers and urban artists.
Spread over two floors, the 350 m² indoor space will feature paintings, frescoes, sculptures and installations in dialogue with the industrial architecture of the site. Outside, in the heart of a 1200 m² semi-covered courtyard, visitors can enjoy live paintings, artistic performances and discussions with the artists. Connoisseurs will have the pleasure of meeting up with some of the leading figures on the urban scene, such as Sax, Petite Poissone, Jo Di Bona and Djalouz, among other established talents.
An international edition and an ephemeral urban art boutique
This year, the festival opens up to the international scene with the exceptional presence of Brazilian artist Rafael Slicks and German street artist Patrizia Casagrande, offering a broader look at current trends in urban art around the world. Another notable new feature is the creation of an ephemeral boutique with urban influences. Art lovers will find sculptures, canvases and original works at affordable prices. A great opportunity to take a piece of urban art home with you.
A not-to-be-missed opportunity to experience urban art in a different way, in an exceptional setting combining history, modernity and creativity.
