Just outside Paris lies a gem that is well worth a visit: the national estate of Saint-Cloud! Formerly a holiday resort for kings, this magnificent estate surrounded by water offers a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. You’ll love strolling along its huge avenues and discovering its dazzling princely palace. A getaway within easy reach of the Navigo Pass that we highly recommend as the warm weather approaches!
A stunning free park on the outskirts of Paris
This magnificent princely estate took on its full royal dimension when Monsieur, brother of King Louis XIV, acquired it. And it was none other than André le Nôtre, landscape architect to the Sun King, to whom we owe the magnificent gardens of the Palace of Versailles, who was responsible for designing the grounds.

It features a romantic English garden, spectacularly pruned boxwoods and yews, magnificent fountains, and a breathtaking belvedere. The latter offers a breathtaking view of all of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, which is an unmissable backdrop.
Thanks to its unique steep terrain, the estate was entirely designed by Le Nôtre , who enjoyed creating spectacular perspectives and water features. You can’t miss the Grande Cascade, the jewel in the crown of the estate. Unlike many fountains, its hydraulic system still uses 17th-century principles. Simply put,the water descends by gravity to gush out below. An ingenious system that still impresses today.
This magnificent garden, whose castle was burned down in 1870, was awarded the ” Remarkable Garden ” label in 2005. Perched on a hill overlooking the entire capital, you will love exploring this place.
