Nestled in the heights of the Yvelines department, the pretty town of Mantes-la-Jolie is once again set to inspire young and old alike! Next January, the Lueurs de Mantes festival returns to the delight of the people of Mantes-la-Jolie. You’ll discover a poetic light trail all over town, as well as a show featuring over 400 drones twinkling in the sky. And it’s all free! Yes, you read that right: free of charge.
Lueurs de Mantes: a 100% free light show
For this 3ᵉ edition, get ready for an enchanting show across the whole city. For almost a month, pretty Mantes will be decked out in a thousand and one colors as night falls. You’ll discover a dreamlike, never-before-seen itinerary, showcasing the city’s jewels from a whole new angle, thanks to magnificent light projections. This immersive nocturnal exploration will take you on a journey through various luminous tableaux. You’ll discover impressive sculptures and breathtaking settings over a distance of more than 1 km, from Square Gabrielle d’Estrées to the Collégiale Notre-Dame. From churches to the city’s most important buildings, the whole of Mantes will be illuminated.

In addition to this sublime luminous stroll, you’ll be able to discover a magnificent ballet of over 400 drones flying overhead on January 17. The 15-minute show will be orchestrated by Dronisos. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, it’s thanks to them that we’re able to put on Disneyland Paris‘ sublime night-time show. And the best part? It’s free.

While we still don’t know the names of the artists who will be exhibiting their work over the coming weeks, there ‘s no doubt that the program is likely to be very rich. Last year, visitors were able to interact with some of the works! Let’s hope this year’s edition is even better than the last.
