In September, the Fête de l’Humanité has the honor of closing the music festival ball! L ‘Humanité ‘s cultural and political rendez-vous takes place from September 12 to 14, in Essonne, France, and Gims, Théodora and Patti Smith will be on hand!
L’Humanité’s festive, political and cultural rendez-vous
While most music festivals will have packed up their stages by September, the Fête de l’Humanité is getting ready to launch its 90th edition. From the 12th to the 14th, the day after the start of the new school year, the emblematic newspaper invites the public to a major gathering to celebrate the humanist and progressive values of the medium, and music in all its forms! A politically committed event, the Fête de l’Humanité is also a cultural rendezvous that brings together spectators who are delighted to extend the festival season, before the arrival of autumn!
Théodora, Patti Smith and Gims recruited for the 90th anniversary of the Fête de l’Humanité
A sign that music is at the heart of this gathering, the Fête de l’Humanité is hosting no fewer than 50 concerts this year! Pop, rock, rap, electro, French chanson and international artists– the festival’s program is a showcase for diversity, and for 2025, it’s a well-crafted line-up!
The line-up includes self-proclaimed boss lady Théodora, the legendary Patti Smith in quartet configuration, Youssoupha, Hoshi, Eddy de Pretto and Gims! Other concert highlights include Teki Latex, Cassius, Kompromat and Tshegue! Finally, Ascendant Vierge, Bagarre, Manu Le Malin and Malik Djoudi have also been confirmed!
And for the first time, the festival stage will host a musical show with La Haine – nothing’s changed so far!
Alongside the concerts, festival-goers will also be able to attend a host of debates on current political, economic, environmental and social issues, led by historians and committed personalities. NGOs and associations, some of which have their roots in political parties, will also be on hand to present their actions, and exhibitions, cinema, theater and literature events will be organized throughout the weekend!
