In Paris, Groupe F’s fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower on Sunday July 14 was phenomenal. In the run-up to the Olympic Games, no fewer than 1,000 drones took to the skies, recreating the silhouettes of Olympic and Paralympic athletes. A truly exceptional aerial spectacle. The apotheosis? A drone show with a Marianne illuminating the City of Light, then plunged into darkness. A masterpiece! But a few miles away, another large-scale show was taking place on the occasion of the national holiday…
1571 drones at Disneyland Paris for July 14th
To do so, head for Marne-la-Vallée, in the heart of Disneyland Paris. This Sunday, the famous amusement park made history by achieving a real feat. That of setting a new record for the “largest aerial image of a fictional character formed by drones” approved under the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™.
A marvellous nocturnal show
In all, some 1,571 drones took to the night skies. The drones choreographed a huge blue-white-and-red Mickey Mouse head above Sleeping Beauty’s castle. In this staging of the order of the marvelous, 5 stories represented the most beautiful Disney tales. Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty, The Aristocats, Ratatouille… they’re all drawn in the sky in the most magical way.
A show combining pyrotechnics, light shows and a drone ball, which also introduced several symbols of French culture. Such was the case with the Eiffel Tower or a representation of the mythical rose window in Notre Dame de Paris cathedral. A beautiful show combining drones and fireworks, specially imagined for July 14th. Proof that once again, magic never sleeps at Disneyland Paris.
