Want to travel to Mexico without leaving Paris? Until November 2, the Jardin d’Acclimatation is transformed to celebrate El Día de los Muertos. Dancing skeletons, fire artists, Hispanic music, catrinas and mariachis… get ready for a colorful autumn with your family, in the heart of the only amusement park in Paris.
El Día de los Muertos: a festival more alive than ever
In Mexico, El Día de los Muertos is not a day of sadness; it’s a powerful, vibrant moment when the dead are honored with joy. Colorful offerings, candles, flower petals, a Pan de Muerto (death’s-head bun)… paying tribute to the dead is a tradition that couldn’t be more alive. And for the past few years, Paris has also succumbed to this beautiful traditional celebration, a magnificent blend of emotion, memory and festivity. This craze may owe something to Pixar’s animated film Coco, a family adventure tale recounting the adventures of the endearing Miguel and his extraordinary journey to discover the secrets of his ancestors.
For over a month, the Jardin d’Acclimatation hosts the most colorful of Mexican festivals.
And in Paris, the Jardin d’Acclimatation, the capital’s only amusement park, celebrates El Día de los Muertos for an entire month, starting on October 4, 2025. On the program? Hispanic music and dance, as well as fire artists, who are sure to draw you into their Un Poco Loco atmosphere. Among the highlights: a 100% all-female mariachi band called ” Arrieras Somos” will take you back to Latin America with their frenzied tunes. Dressed in their traditional charro garb, they’ll be performing the great Mexican classics – from Cielito Lindo to La Cucaracha – in a supercharged atmosphere. The icing on the cake: this year, from October 18 to November 2, young and old alike can enjoy the magical shows of the “Compagnie des Dragonfly”.
Spellbinding attractions, thrills and spicy Mexican delights for el Día de los Muertos
But that’s not all. To mark the month of el Día de los Muertos, themed attractions will test the mettle of even the most intrepid. From the mythical Ferris Wheel to the Bewitched River, via the Mayan Temple to the new Samba attraction , with hot-air balloons adorned with flowering calaveras… total immersion and thrills are guaranteed. The big plus that makes all the difference at the Jardin d’Acclimation? A veritable Mexican gourmet village set up for this Dìa de los Muertos. Every Wednesday, weekend and during school vacations, treat your taste buds to steaming fajitas and burritos. And don’t forget Mexican sweets like dulce de tres leches or comforting churros. Deadly good!
