Watching a movie in the heart of the Eiffel Tower, in a theater perched high above Paris, was one of those ideas that seemed almost too good to be true. Yet it will be one of the major cultural events of the 2026 fall season. From September 24 to 27, mk2 and the Eiffel Tower will launch the very first edition of Cinéma Paradiso Tour Eiffel, a free festival held in the Salle Gustave Eiffel on the monument’s first floor.
The Eiffel Tower is transformed into a giant movie theater
Following the Louvre, the Grand Palais, La Seine Musicale, the Villa Carmignac, and even the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, Cinéma Paradiso returns with the same concept: taking cinema out of traditional theaters and bringing it to iconic venues. This time, it’s hard to imagine a more symbolic location. The Eiffel Tower isn’t just Paris’s most famous monument; it’s also one of the most frequently filmed backdrops in the world!

In the Salle Gustave Eiffel, the screenings are sure to take on a special atmosphere. Visitors won’t just be coming to see a movie—they’ll be experiencing a screening in a truly magical setting. The full lineup has not yet been revealed. The films, guests, and specific details will be announced on September 8, 2026, along with the opening of the lottery offering a chance to win free tickets.
With the start of the cultural season, the prestige of the venue, and free admission, this inaugural edition has everything it takes to become one of September’s most sought-after events. And for those dreaming of a truly Parisian movie experience, it’s hard to imagine a more spectacular setting than the first floor of the Iron Lady!
