Going to the movies is great, but going to the movies with your feet in the water is even better! For a number of years now, Parisian swimming pools have been getting in on the act, offering a new kind of cinema experience for swimmers and film buffs alike. Aquaciné is the promise of watching a film on XXL buoys. All you need to do is get in the grain bain…
Event: in March, an Aquaciné session in this Parisian swimming pool…
To be like a fish in water or to make a painting, why choose? In Paris, lovers of unusual experiences will be able to enjoy an activity that doesn’t happen every four mornings: an Aquaciné session. On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 7.30pm, the Georges Hermant swimming pool in Paris’s 19th arrondissement will be the scene of an unusual event. At the heart of this Parisian indoor pool, XXL buoys will be installed on heated water, decked out in its most beautiful luminous finery. On the program? Gilles Lellouche’s feature-length film Le Grand Bain, completely in keeping with the theme. The pitch? Bertrand, a depressive in his forties, finds new meaning in his life when he joins a men’s synchronized swimming team. Their crazy wager? To compete together in the world championships. A bittersweet film with a first-rate cast including Guillaume Canet, Benoît Poelvoorde, Philippe Katerine and Virginie Efira.
With this new kind of cinema, moviegoers are in for a real treat.
Ultra immersive, this cinema session with feet in the water will offer participants a few extras. On said evening, a free buffet will be offered to ticket holders. There will also be a tombola, with lots of prizes to be won. So, ready to watch a film on the big screen, while bubbling on the water?
