As you know, the conflicts that have been raging for several months in the Middle East have impacted the price of jet fuel. The price has skyrocketed since then, jeopardizing several flights… Lufthansa, for example, has canceled 20,000 short-haul flights deemed unprofitable. Similarly , Air France’s low-cost carrier, Transavia,is preparing to cancel 400 flights scheduled between May and June…. Here are the details you need to know.
400 flights canceled starting in May…
Following Air Transat, which canceled 6% of its flights between May and October, and Air Asia, which has scrapped several routes to Asia, it is now Transavia’s turn to tighten its belt.
Air France-KLM’s low-cost subsidiary is canceling 2% of its medium-haul flights between May and June, or approximately 400 flights. Affected travelers have been notified of this cancellation via text message and email and will be eligible for a free rescheduling or a full refund of their ticket. The airline also assures passengers that the majority of canceled flights will have an alternative option within 24 hours of the cancellation.
