Since global stars such as Lisa from BLACKPINK, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa got their hands on these cuddly toys, everyone wants one at any price! Labubu are little elves in the shape of rabbits, with mischievous smiles , imagined by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung and manufactured exclusively by Pop Mart. Originally the heroes of a children’s series called The Monsters, Labubu quickly became a viral fashion phenomenon on social networks, so much so that it’s hard to get hold of them these days. The most fashion-conscious will hang these colorful monsters on luxury bags, while others will have fun discovering which Labubu is hiding in surprise boxes… It’s a trend that’s growing all the time, thanks to a well thought-out marketing strategy: ephemeral collections, a rare Labubu to be found in each collection and a surprise unboxing with every purchase: you never know which Labubu you’ve got, until you open the box! The problem is, there are lots of Labubu and just as many counterfeits on the internet… So to make sure you find the Labubu of your dreams, here’s a list of the safest places to buy them in Paris!

If you want real Labubu, we recommend you go straight to Pop Mart, the only official manufacturer of these plush toys. You’ll find six boutiques in Paris, including three right in the center at Opéra, Carrousel du Louvre and Forum des Halles de Châtelet. These stores, ideally placed, are likely to attract more people (and longer queues). Better still is the less popular Pop Mart in Bercy Village in the 13th arrondissement, or the Pop Mart in Puteaux at the Westfield Les Quatre Temps. And if you’re visiting Disneyland Paris, there’s also a Pop Mart in DisneyVillage!
Finally, independent boutiques such as Funko, in the Passage Choiseul, or Artoyz, also sell Labubu. But the choice is limited, and stocks run out very quickly… So you’ve got to be the first!
Labubu or Lafufu? How do you know if it’s real?
You’ve finally fallen for a Labubu you bought online… But you have doubts about its authenticity? Here are a few key points:
-
- A Labubu with nine teeth
- The Labubu’s ears are long and narrow at the tip.
- You can’t turn the Labubu’s head all the way around
- The boxes all have a QR code to certify the Labubu’s authenticity on the Pop Mart website, and the packaging colors are pastel.
- The Labubu box bears a clear, well-centered holographic logo in 3D relief.
- The Pop Mart logo must be under one of the feet.
- Labubu’s fur is soft and high-quality, with no visible seams
How much does a Labubu cost?

A Labubu costs between 15 and 25 euros, depending on the collection, but can be much more depending on rarity. Some seasonal collections go up to 35 euros, and prestigious collections such as the one with Disney, Coca-Cola or One Piece can top 100 euros… Last June, a giant Labubu figurine sold at auction for the modest sum of… 132,000 euros.
