Good news for animation fans: right now, France TV is making available free of charge a wide selection of films from the famous Studio Ghibli, one of the most influential and respected studios in the history of animated cinema. Eleven feature-length films are broadcast on the group’s channels and accessible on the france.tv platform, without subscription, as part of a special program dedicated to Japanese animation.
Studio Ghibli in the spotlight for free over the holidays
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Studio Ghibli, France TV is honoring Japanese animation. Among the films on offer are the must-sees that have shaped the studio’s legend, such as Mon voisin Totoro, Princesse Mononoké, Le Voyage de Chihiro, Ponyo sur la falaise and Le Château ambulant. Other titles complete the selection, offering a rich panorama of the studio’s entire filmography. An ideal opportunity to discover some of the studio’s lesser-known films, or to dive back into the classics! The films are scheduled for broadcast on France 4, and remain available for replay for a limited time on france.tv.
