Same recipe, same result. On August 1, 2026, La Bichota Pro Max once again won the Paris leg of The Champions Burger, held at the Val d’Europe shopping center in Serris. This creation from the Spanish restaurant El Tarantín Chiflado has thus secured back-to-back victories following its 2025 win, after three weeks of tastings and public voting. This year’s competition brought together 15 European chains, each defending a recipe created specifically for the event.
The Bichota Pro Max, Paris’s Best Burger of 2026
Between the two halves of a brioche topped with melted cheese lies a beef burger, melted cheese, and an exclusive sauce called Pro Max. The recipe is served with a croquette and a fried smoked cheese ball—both generous portions. Like the other burgers sold during the competition, it was priced at 13.95 euros.

To determine the rankings, visitors were able to rate their burger after each tasting using a QR code on their ticket. The bun, the meat, the combination of ingredients, the presentation, and originality were among the criteria considered. This system allowed La Bichota Pro Max to edge out Pink Paradise, which came in second with its pink brioche bun, smash burger, pulled beef, caramelized onions, and cream cheese.
An XXL burger contest near Paris
Third place went to Gladiadora, prepared by The VicBros Burger. This recipe features a pretzel-style bun sprinkled with cheese, beef, cheddar, pulled beef, and fried onions. These three hearty entries—quite a departure from the classic burger—perfectly capture the spirit of this European competition, where originality counts just as much as taste.
To try the winning burger, you’ll now have to follow the next stages of The Champions Burger or visit one of El Tarantín Chiflado’s Spanish locations.
