After a six-year absence, the Bateau Phare, formerly known as the Batofar, is back on the Paris scene. Moored on the Quai de la Gare, opposite the Bibliothèque nationale de France, this mythical ship, recognizable by its red mast, is once again a temple of celebration and culture, in the heart of the 13th arrondissement.
The Bateau Phare is back at last!
Completely renovated, the Bateau Phare still boasts its beautiful red dress and a program redesigned to appeal to a varied audience. Fridays are devoted to electronic music, reviving the venue’s heritage, while Saturdays give way to live shows and performances, highlighting the local scene. On Sundays, the ship transforms into a relaxing space with stand-up comedy and wellness workshops, offering a complete experience from clubbing to artistic discovery.
The quayside terrace, due to open this May, promises convivial moments with fun activities, meetings and conferences, reinforcing the Bateau Phare’s role as a place for living and sharing. A street food menu, entirely homemade, and a selection of cocktails complete the offer, inviting gourmandise in a unique setting on the Seine.
Under the impetus of a new artistic team, the Bateau Phare is also looking to diversify its scene by inviting historic collectives and new artists, as well as offering queer evenings and drag shows. More than a simple reopening, this is a new beginning for this emblematic boat, ready to write a new chapter in Parisian nightlife.
