The Musée du Luxembourg is unveiling a new exhibition dedicated to Andy Warhol, inviting visitors to discover an unexpected side of the king of Pop Art. Far from the image of the contemporary artist churning out mass-produced works, the exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look at his famous Factory and a more intimate glimpse into his work. Let us take you on a tour!
A unique exhibition on Andy Warhol is currently on view in Paris
While Andy Warhol is well known for his Pop Art works that have inspired artists around the world, few are familiar with his paintings, his freehand drawings, and his more intimate creations. Currently on view at the Musée du Luxembourg, the exhibition “Andy Warhol: Line and Image” presents nearly 150 drawings, paintings, silkscreen prints, and rare, private archives from the American artist. The exhibition reveals a lesser-known side of the artist, from his early days in advertising to his portraits and religious works. Proof that he had a very broad creative range!
A rare exhibition that will teach you a little more about this essential contemporary artist!
