We already knew Gruppomimo for its generous portions, its pasta served in a cheese wheel, and its decor inspired by Italian trattorias. For some time now, the 11th arrondissement restaurant has also been drawing food lovers for another reason: an all-you-can-eat Italian buffet that showcases some of the great classics of Italian cuisine.
The best of Italian cuisine, all-you-can-eat
Located on Rue Keller, between Bastille and Charonne, the restaurant offers a menu that’s sure to appeal to anyone who’s constantly torn between pizza, pasta, and antipasti. Here, there’s no need to choose: everything is available in unlimited quantities.
The journey usually begins with the appetizers. Creamy burrata, Italian cold cuts, marinated vegetables, focaccia, and appetizer specialties line the buffet. It’s a way to recapture the spirit of large Italian gatherings, where you nibble on a little of everything before diving into the main courses.
But it’s the pizzas that really catch the eye. Throughout the meal service, the staff bake and slice pizzas that go straight to the buffet as soon as they come out of the oven. Margherita, four-cheese, heartier options, or seasonal creations: the selection changes as the meal progresses, often prompting customers to come back again and again.

Pasta lovers aren’t left out. Several recipes are offered on a rotating basis, staying true to what has made the group’s reputation. The idea remains the same: to enjoy a warm, generous dining experience rather than a standardized buffet.
And because an Italian meal never really ends without dessert, the menu also includes several sweet treats. Tiramisu is, of course, a must-try, with coffee or pistachio versions available depending on the season.
The menu’s success is also due to its price. Expect to pay €18 for lunch and €25 for dinner to enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet. This price explains in part why the restaurant is often packed, especially on weekends and in the evenings.
At a time when all-you-can-eat buffets are popping up all over Paris, Gruppomimo has chosen to focus on a single specialty: Italy. A simple yet effective concept that lets you travel from Naples to Rome in the time it takes to eat a meal, without ever leaving the 11th arrondissement.
