The Nef of the Grand Palais, that cathedral of glass and steel built for the 1900 World’s Fair, transforms into a pop-up club after midnight this Saturday, June 13. That’s the concept behind the After Nef events, and for this year’s Fireworks edition, the lineup is simply mind-blowing.
Here,music and architecture complement each other perfectly. Since its reopening, the Grand Palais d’été has devised a unique concept: it extends evening performances into late-night musical events, conceived not as mere after-parties, but as extensions of the works presented during the day. These are the After Nef.
A natural extension of the performances
The June 13, 2026 edition, titled Fireworks, follows on from Némo Flouret’s Derniers feux, a dance piece whose evening performance stirs the still-warm embers in an open musical format that addresses the questions raised by the show.
Every Saturday after the performances, the Nef transforms into a festive spaceunder the direction of Loïs Saumande, programmer of the MOFO festival at Mains d’Œuvres. The After Nef evenings are designed in collaboration with the season’s choreographers and directors.
Four artists, four soundscapes
What makes the After Nef Fireworks particularly rare is its eclecticism. Twisted Venezuelan reggaeton, fragmented London electronic music, experimental jazz, electroacoustic trumpet: four worlds that, at first glance, have nothing in common, yet the Grand Palais’s glass roof will bring them together for one night.
Safety Trance, Loraine James, NAH, Angelfightrrr: four artists hailing from literally the four corners of the globe (Venezuela, England, the United States, and Switzerland) take the stage one after another for a sonic journey that oscillates between reggaeton, hip-hop, jazz, ambient, and electronic music. A borderless lineup for an extraordinary night.
After Nef: an event like no other
The After Nef events are nothing like ordinary electronic music parties. The focus here is different: each lineup is co-curated with the performing artists featured during the day. Loïs Saumande, the artistic director of these nights, bridges the aesthetic gap between emerging scenes and more mainstream spheres. The result is a night where you never quite know what’s going to happen.
And then there’s the setting. The Grand Palais’s Nef at midnight, with its 45-meter-high glass ceiling, Art Nouveau steel framework, and curves that play with the light, is one of the most extraordinary spaces Paris has to offer for electronic music. It would be a shame not to take advantage of it.

For those who’d like to turn summer into a series of nights under the glass roof, the lineup for the upcoming After Nef events is also worth checking out: Dimitri from Paris on June 23, Sama’ Abdulhadi —queen of Middle Eastern techno—on June 27 in a B3B set with Agathe Mougin and CAPTNNN, Acid Arab and their Mediterranean electronic sounds on July 4, and Eddy de Pretto on July 17 and 18 in collaboration with choreographer Maud Le Pladec.
