The first Christmas lights are already appearing in Paris. On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Beaugrenelle will kick off its festivities by lighting its large Christmas tree, installed beneath the mall’s glass roof. To mark the occasion, a free evening event will be held starting at 5 p.m., featuring a show combining dance and music, activities for children, and hundreds of prizes to be won.
After last year’s suspended Christmas tree designed in collaboration with jeweler Mauboussin, Beaugrenelle is completely changing its decor. For Christmas 2026, the shopping center is partnering with Rituals and drawing inspiration from train travel of yesteryear. Around the tree, a miniature train and large nutcrackers will recreate the atmosphere of old train stations, with their departures for the end-of-year holidays.
A light show and hundreds of prizes to be won
The highlight of this opening ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. on the Beaugrenelle Terrace. Young guitarist Timéo and the dance troupe Inverdance—both of whom rose to fame on *La France a un incroyable talent*—will take part in a show specially designed for the tree lighting.
Starting at 5 p.m., families can meet Santa Claus, take part in a treasure hunt organized with La Grande Récré, or try their luck at the gift counter. Here’s how it works: pick up a train ticket for a chance to win one of the hundreds of prizes offered by the mall’s stores.

Makeup workshops, a photo booth, and even a phone to call Santa Claus will also be set up on various floors. A DJ set will provide the evening’s entertainment, while the stores will remain open exceptionally until 9 p.m. And after the grand opening night, the decorations will remain in place until early next January!
For those who wish to attend the lighting ceremony, it’s best to arrive before 6:30 p.m. to enjoy the show and the first activities.
