No need to take the train to get a taste of Normandy this weekend. From October 9 to 11,the Eure Market will be set up at the Cour de Rome, right in front of Saint-Lazare. Spanning 300 m², this gourmet market combines local products, tastings, an outdoor terrace, and inspiration for your next trip to Normandy. Admission is completely free.
300 m² of Normandy right in the heart of Paris
For three days, the Cour de Rome takes on a completely different atmosphere. The Eure department will set up a 300-square-meter space there, designed as a blend of a market, an offbeat supermarket, and a place where you can simply take your time.
The idea is to introduce visitors to the department in a way that goes beyond a tourist brochure. You can sample local products, take part in tastings, or simply discover the specialties on offer.
The organizers are presenting this format as a first in France. It’s enough to transform, for the duration of a weekend, one of Paris’s busiest neighborhoods into a little showcase of Normandy.
Much more than just a gourmet market
The Eure Market isn’t just about shopping. A terrace lets you enjoy the space and take a break between culinary discoveries.
Behind the foodie aspect lies the idea of a Normandy getaway. The event highlights vacations and getaways about an hour from Paris. The concept is to sample some local products today, then perhaps discover their region of origin during a future weekend trip.
A rather clever way to remind people that Normandy is much closer to Paris than one might think.

Just three days to enjoy it
There’s no way you’ll want to put off this outing. The Eure Market opened at the Cour de Rome on October 9, 2026, and will be packing up and heading back to Normandy this Sunday, October 11, 2026.
The venue opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. Admission is free. The event is also indoors, which could definitely save the day if the weather turns unpredictable this weekend.
Between tastings, local products, and the desire to get away, here’s a rather gourmet way to treat yourself to a little getaway to Normandy… without ever leaving the capital.
