Ten days of concerts, battles, DJ sets, dance performances, and even a major exhibition: it’s hard to imagine a more comprehensive way to celebrate a decade of hip-hop. From October 2 to 11, 2026, La Place will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a festival that brings together all facets of this culture right in the heart of Paris. And for the occasion, some big names—including Oxmo Puccino, Chilla, Lino, and Makala—will be there.
Ten days to celebrate all facets of hip-hop
Since 2016, La Place has been located under the Canopée des Halles with a simple idea: to give hip-hop a space entirely dedicated to it. Spanning 1,400 square meters, artists, dancers, musicians, graffiti artists, collectives, and enthusiasts gather there year-round. Over the past ten years, several thousand artists have passed through La Place’s studios, stages, and creative spaces.
So, to celebrate its tenth anniversary, a single night wasn’t even an option. From October 2 to 11, every space at La Place will come alive with a festival that brings together everything that has defined the venue’s DNA over the past ten years.
Music, dance, and visual arts will come together throughout the event. On the program: concerts, clubbing, battles, performances, DJ sets, and an immersive exhibition blending painting, photography, video, and three-dimensional artworks.

Oxmo Puccino, Chilla, Makala… a birthday celebration in good company
On the music front, there will be plenty to enjoy. Several concerts are scheduled between October 8 and 10, featuring artists from quite different backgrounds.
The lineup will include Oxmo Puccino, Chilla, Lino, Le Juiice, Jäde, AH2, Makala, Angie, Arma Jackson, and Vicky R. On October 10, several artists who have left their mark on La Place will take the stage for a live performance specially designed for the anniversary.
And the lineup doesn’t stop there. Colors Records will also have carte blanche with Makala, Daej Phantom, and Supermnova. The night before, the event will take a different turn with Francophone rap and more Caribbean sounds, ranging from dancehall, bouyon, Creole rap, and zouk.
Over the course of several evenings, you’ll be able to move from a concert to a DJ set without ever really leaving the festival atmosphere
Battles, dance, and an exhibition round out the program
Of course, hip-hop isn’t limited to rap—dance will also play a major role during these ten days
Starting October 3, the Hippoh Dance Club will feature a mix of shows, performances, and DJ sets until 2 a.m. Then, to close out the festival on October 11, The Mobb is Calling returns with a second edition dedicated to battles and choreographed performances.
From October 2 to 8, an exhibition will also round out the program, featuring photos, videos, paintings, and other creations celebrating La Place’s ten-year history and the people who bring this hip-hop mecca to life
Ultimately, La Place sums up its anniversary quite well: 10 years, 10 days, and nearly every form of hip-hop brought together under one roof.
