For three weeks, forget about the racks, fitting rooms, and piles of clothes. Just a stone’s throw from Denfert-Rochereau, a former Zara store transformed into a street art exhibition will undergo a complete makeover. From October 3 to 25, 2026, its 2,400 m² will host hundreds of urban artists. The “Expo des 150” and “StreetArt Denfert” will share the building’s three levels. On the program: murals, sculptures, performances, meet-and-greets, and works created on-site. Admission will be free with a reservation.
2,400 m² of Zara transformed into a massive artistic playground
When you walk past this former Zara store in the 14th arrondissement,… it’s hard to imagine what’s in store behind the storefront windows. Yet for three weeks, the shelves and racks will give way to a completely different setting.
Hundreds of artists will bring the building’s 2,400 m² to life. Some are already well known to fans of Parisian street art. Others belong to the new generation of creators from the Paris region.
Above all, the idea isn’t to simply turn the store into a gallery. The artists will be present on-site, and several spaces will be an integral part of the exhibition route. This former Zara, transformed into a street art exhibition, will thus become a true hub of creativity. Visitors will come as much to view the artwork as to experience the venue’s transformation.
Three floors and three different ways to experience street art
Perhaps the most interesting aspect lies in how the 2,400 m² have been divided up. Each level, measuring approximately 800 m², will have its own distinct identity.
Upstairs, you’ll find StreetArt Denfert, a project by Galerie Roussard and artist Codex Urbanus. This space will complement the new edition of his *Petit Atlas de poche du Street Art de Paris et sa Banlieue*(Pocket Atlas of Street Art in Paris and Its Suburbs), which lists 200 artists from the Île-de-France region and helps visitors better identify the signatures they might encounter on the streets of the capital.
Visitors will also have the chance to meet several of these artists. Many are expected to be on site to interact with the public and sign the book, finally putting a face to the works we’ve been seeing for years on our walks through Paris.
On the ground floor, the “Expo des 150” will take over. The public will be able to explore artworks, artist residencies, and an Art Shop. Among the artists announced for the various projects are Chanoir, Jérôme Mesnager, Codex Urbanus, Ardif, Brusk, Eddie Colla, and Petit Poissone.
In the basement, the transformation will be the most spectacular. The store’s former offices will become a veritable urban art trail. The artworks will no longer simply be hung on the walls: artists will paint directly onto the walls of the space, transforming part of the former Zara into a work of art in its own right.

A touch of the Cabaret du Chat Noir
Behind this massive exhibition lies a nod to Paris’s artistic history. The “Expo des 150” draws inspiration from the spirit of the Cabaret du Chat Noir, founded in 1881 by Rodolphe Salis in Montmartre.
Back in the day, this cabaret brought together artists, writers, and musicians who gathered to create, exchange ideas, and breathe life into the Parisian art scene. Morethan a century later, the idea remains essentially the same. Except that in the former store, street art has taken the place of the artists of Montmartre.
The event won’t be limited to the works on display. Performances and meet-and-greets will also punctuate the three weeks. The goal is simple: to turn the space into a vibrant hub where visitors can discover not only the art but also the artists behind it.
A free XXL exhibition for just three weeks
This isn’t the first time the Expo des 150 has been a success. Last year, more than 130,000 curious visitors came to check out the event, according to the organizers. This time, the event is taking on an even larger scale by bringing together the Expo des 150 and StreetArt Denfert within the 2,400 m² of this former Zara store.
And you’ll want to check it out soon—the doors will be open from October 3 to 25, 2026. For three weeks, you can explore the venue’s transformation for free, provided you make a reservation.
Seeing a former Zara filled with murals, artists, and painted works is quite a change from a typical shopping trip—and that’s exactly what makes this place so special
