Running clubs have taken over the streets of Paris in recent years, transforming running into a social ritual as much as a sporting one. The next evolution? Running on all fours. On September 26, the Rover platform is organizing Paris’s first Running Dog Club, an event designed for owners who no longer see any reason for their dog to stay home while they work out.
The format is simple: a 5 km run in the Bois de Boulogne, paced to the dogs’ rhythm, with two sessions led by a specialized coach. The goal isn’t to break a record—it’s just as much about running as it is about letting the dogs explore and socialize. The coach will also share practical tips on how to run with your dog safely and comfortably.

After the run, the 30 participating pairs are invited to Casa Del Doggo (13 rue Pierre Guérin, 75016), Paris’s first dog bakery, for a shared snack: treats and Doggoccino for the dogs, and the human version for their owners.
According to a Rover survey, 76% of owners who made a fitness resolution for 2026 believe their dog motivates them more than a personal trainer, and 49% admit that their dog pushes them to get moving even on days when they’re not feeling it. Dogs, as the new partners in urban wellness, are becoming an increasingly integral part of their owners’ lifestyles.
The event will take place on Friday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m., and spots are limited to 30 dog-owner pairs!
