Dogs, cats, and their owners are invited to join the second Paris edition of the Animal March on October 4, 2026. Coinciding with World Animal Day, the march will set off at 3:00 p.m. from the George V metro station and head to the Pavillon Royal in the Bois de Boulogne. Here’s what you need to know!
A pet parade on the Champs-Élysées
Thisjoyful paradewill celebrate the role of pets in the daily and urban lives of Parisians for one afternoon. While the first edition drew more than 600 people, this year organizers are expecting around 500 participants, including 300 dogs, to which other four-legged or feathered companions may be added.
Along the entire 3-km route, every detail has been planned with the animals’ comfort in mind: water stations are set up along the way, and volunteers trained in animal-assisted therapy will be on hand to accompany participants, offer advice, and ensure everyone’s safety.
Launched in Nice in 2022, where it drew thousands of people to the Promenade des Anglais during its first editions, the pet parade has naturally found its audience in the capital. The goal is now to make it an annual event firmly established on the Parisian calendar, bringing people together, fostering connections, and sparking dialogue about the animals that share our lives.
No registration is required to participate! All you need is a pet. Meet at the George V metro station at 3 p.m. for a roughly 2-hour walk.
