New Halloween Attractions
While the park welcomed new residents this summer—Jardine’s parrots, which share the sanctuary aviary with African gray parrots, and tegus, those impressive lizards native to South America—the surprises continue this fall! New this year and visible to Parrot World visitors, the Parrot Wildlife Foundation ( PWLF) Sanctuary also takes in abandoned parrots—those seized by authorities or entrusted by individuals who can no longer care for them.
From October 3 to November 11, 2026, the park is once again bucking the trend of scary Halloween celebrations by honoring El Día de los Muertos, the joyful and colorful Mexican Day of the Dead, which has been designated by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.Every fall, this event attracts more than 30,000 visitors to the park, with an enriched program combining new attractions, immersive experiences, and festive activities. And it’s all included in the admission ticket.
Plaza Fiesta, the big new attraction for 2026: a Mexican fairground village is springing up in the heart of the park. On the agenda: game booths, a plaza with tables set up under garlands of papel picado, and a musical atmosphere that sets the festive mood!
The carnival games, reimagined in the style of Día de los Muertos, can be played one-on-one or with the whole family. Come knock down the hanging balls at Bolas Locas, challenge your family to a game of Bowling for a chance to win the title of campeón, keep a steady hand on the wobbly platform at Bamboleo, knock down the pyramid of cans at Tumba Latas…and discover many more surprises on site. It’s simple: games that last just a few minutes, fun for all ages starting at 3 years old, and rules posted in French and English—in short, everything is designed to bring young and old together!

A Festive Lineup
Another must-see event: Les Revenants, some forty skits featuring skeletons—funnier than ever—that punctuate the visit. Explorers , pilots, scientists, and caretakers from a bygone era have returned to haunt the park’s paths—with a touch of humor. You’ll come across a pilot who never took off from his plane in the bush, a yogi deep in meditation facing the flamingos, a kayaker escorted by Humboldt penguins, a climber clinging to the jaguar rock…. In the village, a mariachi trio and a photo op with La Catrina and her mariachi await families to capture their memories.
Behind the laughter lies a message: several skits playfully subvert the park’s usual themes to raise awareness about biodiversity, benefiting the Parrot Wildlife Foundation. Never scary, they appeal to both little ones and parents alike—and reward attentive visitors!

Parrot World: a unique immersive getaway just a stone’s throw from Paris, somewhere between the Amazon and Patagonia
Forget traditional zoos: here, nature takes center stage. The park recreates tropical atmospheres to transport you to the landscapes of the Amazon and Patagonia with two immersive trails:
- The Amazonia Trek, home to one of Europe’s largest aviaries, where more than 200 multicolored parrots ( macaws, Amazon parrots, and more) fly freely above visitors, surrounded byiconic South American animals such as jaguars, giant otters, and capybaras.
- The Patagonia Trek: an area that takes you on a journey to the southern lands, where Humboldt penguins, guanacos, and rheas roam in a setting inspired by the Patagonian steppes.
This educational nature reserve-style tour transforms a typical outing into a true adventure for young explorers and the curious of all ages. Unlike a traditional zoo, Parrot World offers a sensory journey through distinct worlds.
These two “treks” aren’t fitness trails, but rather immersive experiences designed to educate and inspire wonder—perfect for a family outing or a first glimpse of South American biodiversity just a stone’s throw from Paris.

Wildlife and Animal Viewing
On site, discover more than 120 animal species: from majestic jaguars to capybaras, as well as coatis, flamingos, ibises, rheas… and, of course, parrots living in a gigantic aviary that evokes the richness of the Amazon rainforest.
Every encounter in these recreated environments is designed to be both educational and fascinating: the animals roam in conditions similar to their natural habitats, with no visible cages, and daily educational activities led by the keepers enrich the experience, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves. Plan on spending at least half a day—and ideally the whole day. Depending on the season, up to 12 different encounters led by our educational guides take place throughout the day; the daily schedule is posted on-site—that’s 3 to 4 hours of activities included with your ticket, plus the immersive aviary, the giant “Radeau des Cimes” playground, the “Ranch des Enfants” mini-farm, and the covered Biodiversity Hall.
You can actively participate in the park’s activities. Yes, here, the highlight of the show is the educational feeding session, where young and old alike can watch the keepers care for the animals. Become a keeper for a day, feed the Humboldt penguins, coatis, or guanacos, watch the giant otters during their medical training, spend some special time with the capybaras… You won’t know where to look first!

Bonus: Unique getaways and animal encounters
Want to extend your trip? Parrot World offers lodges inspired by Amazonian homes. Fall asleep to the songs of parrots or enjoy a breathtaking view of jaguars at sunset (no, you’re not dreaming)—it’s possible! The half-board stay includes dinner prepared by Le Panoramic, breakfast, two-day park access, and exclusive entertainment, starting at €127 per person per night based on four people sharing.
And to take it a step further, the park also offers a VIP Tour: a small-group guided tour led by a science educator, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the park, its conservation efforts, and the daily lives of the animal caretakers.
And for the curious:
- Become a zookeeper for a day
- Feed the Humboldt penguins or the turtles
…so many options to enhance your nature-filled day with a South American expedition vibe! And after the adventure, why not treat yourself to a gourmet break at Panoramic, the park’s restaurant? For the Day of the Dead, Chef José Guerra Madrid has created a seasonal dish featuring a thick cut of white hake wrapped in a banana leaf, served with cassava, plantains, and aji encurtido, as well as a chocoflan—the Mexican “impossible cake”—topped with pumpkin melao. Park visitors receive a 10% discount on lunch upon presentation of their wristband, excluding Saturday lunchtime and brunch.

One important point: Parrot World isn’t just a park—it’s also an organization committed to protecting endangered species ( such as the jaguar and the giant otter) and raising public awareness through workshops and activities. Every visit is a small seed planted for the preservation of our beautiful planet. In short, Parrot World is the perfect getaway for a refreshing, family-friendly, and colorful day trip just a stone’s throw from Paris. A taste of South America right in the heart of Seine-et-Marne!
