What is We call it Drums?
We call it Drums takes you on a journey through original soundtracks, one tempo at a time. In a 60-minute show, 5 talented percussionists will perform adapted versions of famous film scores, such as Star Wars. Sublimated by LED lights synchronized to the beats, the 3 acts of this show will intensify the power of the drums and other membranophones.
Why is percussion so powerful?
Percussive rhythm acts directly on the human body, often synchronizing heartbeat and breathing with the musical pulse. This instinctive connection creates high energy, excitement and even adrenalin in musicians and listeners alike. A simple change of rhythm can alter the mood, from the suspense generated by a slow, gentle beat to the sense of excitement or even anxiety created by a fast, strong rhythm.
