Some time ago, we brought you a real immersion in Belle-Époque Paris, thanks to a striking film colorized and restored in 4K. Today, the same process transports us back to the 1920s, when Paris was a party and the hub of arts and culture. And so, for 8 minutes, monuments, onlookers and Parisian landscapes of the time parade before our eyes, for a highly unusual and truly poignant spectacle!
Exceptional images of the Paris of yesteryear
Beginning on the quays of the Seine, this temporal stroll offers some quite exceptional views of the city’s legendary landmarks. The Madeleine church, the Opéra Garnier, Notre-Dame Cathedral and Place Vendôme: the city’s most beautiful landmarks are all shown here in their former glory. But more than just a tourist visit, these images also allow us to immerse ourselves in the daily lives of our elders. Whether you’re sitting on a café terrace, strolling down a bustling street or in the midst of a guinguette crowd, you’ll be mesmerized by the costumes and habits of the passers-by!
We owe this fantastic result to Youtuber NASS, who compiles dozens of videos on his channel, giving us the opportunity to travel back in time to capitals around the world. It’s a mammoth task, involving, among other things, increasing frames per second, boosting video definition, colorizing and, above all, creating the right soundtrack from scratch.
A true masterpiece that we never tire of seeing again and again.
