Calling all dreamers, nostalgic fans and lovers of Totoro, Chihiro and Hauru! From October 18, a pop-up store dedicated entirely to the world of Studio Ghibli opens its doors in the Marais district. A magical ephemeral boutique where you can rediscover the poetic universe of Hayao Miyazaki, until January 4, 2026. A not-to-be-missed event for fans of the famous Japanese studio.
A magical boutique filled with Studio Ghibli goodies
Located at 37 rue de Rivoli, this pop-up store will put stars in the eyes of Japanese animation fans. Here you’ll find exclusive Studio Ghibli items such as collector’s ceramic figurines, music boxes and life-like Totoro cuddly toys. But you’ll also find porcelain and ceramic handicrafts, traditional decorations and even some rare Ghibli collectibles straight from the Land of the Rising Sun. All the studio’s greatest films are represented: Mon voisin Totoro, Le Voyage de Chihiro, Princesse Mononoké, Le Château ambulant and Kiki la petite sorcière.
The last new feature of this pop-up is the “music” section, where you’ll find vinyl records and official scores for piano, violin and other instruments. There’s plenty to lull you to sleep to Joe Hisaishi’s masterpieces. Fans of model making will find plenty to do, with beautiful do-it-yourself airplane models from the film Porco Rosso…. Suffice to say, you won ‘t be able to leave empty-handed: every corner of the store looks like it’s been lifted straight out of a Miyazaki dream. A very, very fine selection that you can find on site, or on the boutique’s official website, which delivers anywhere in France!
A journey into the Ghibli imagination
Your favorite heroes await you at every step: the smiling cat-bus, the mischievous fire Calcifer, Sophie and Hauru, Ashitaka and San, and of course Totoro – the studio’s emblematic figure. Young and old alike can immerse themselves in this warm, dreamlike universe, where nature, magic and poetry intermingle. This pop-up store is also the perfect opportunity to (re)discover the timeless work of Hayao Miyazaki, who has been creating wonder for over 40 years. And this time, there’s no need for a plane ticket to Japan: the Ghibli spirit takes up residence in the heart of Paris, for an enchanted interlude.
