From December 13th to 14th, the magic of the festive season will take hold of Paris! Just 1 h from Paris, the sublime medieval town of Provins will be transformed into a magical Christmas village. Like every year, you’ll be able to stroll past the many snow-covered chalets, where local craftsmen, designers and restaurateurs await you. It’s the perfect opportunity to indulge in chocolate-covered waffles or warm up with a glass of spiced mulled wine… It’s a comforting atmosphere that’s sure to put a smile on your face.
For this 14ᵉ edition of the Marché Médiéval de Provins , craftsmanship will once again be in the spotlight. And it’s in the heart of this enchanting setting, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that the festivities will take place. And of course, the Christmas market is synonymous with exhibitors! This year, the market is pulling out all the stops , with nearly 60 artisans on hand to offer decorations, accessories, jewelry, clothing… so many ideas for unique, handcrafted gifts to slip under the tree!

Get ready to take a trip back in time!All weekend long, the Provins Christmas market will take you on a magical journey, where you’ll come across street jugglers, troubadours and knights in battle dress. Even the shopkeepers get in on the act, sporting period costumes! You’ll be able to dine in the medieval tavern, which serves typical dishes of the period, admire the fire-eaters or go archery in the medieval camp.
But it’s especially after dark that the market takes on a fairytale atmosphere. Illuminated by candlelight and fairy lights, you’ll be amazed by the beauty of the place. If you’re new to this medieval town, this is the best time to appreciate its beauty: from its fortified ramparts to its half-timbered houses and cobbled streets , you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to another era.
And to make the weekend even better, Santa Claus will be present this weekend. Children of all ages will be able to send him a note, take a photo and give him their list of Christmas presents.
