Every year, the Marche des Fiertés (formerly Gay Pride) welcomes half a million people from the Paris region. Organized by some 60 LGBTQI+ associations for over 20 years, it’s a major annual event. Both festive and protesting, the march aims to demand equal rights for homosexuals and the LGBT community. In Paris, the march kicks off on Saturday June 28. Here’s the full program.
Gay Pride Paris: discover the program for the 2025 Pride March
On June 28, the Marche des Fiertés 2025 will kick off in Paris at around 1:30 pm. While we don’t yet know the route of this year’s march, we can imagine that it will be just as rich as in previous years. Last year, the procession began at Porte de la Villette (Corentin Cariou metro station) and ended at Place de la République, at around 5 pm. It was here that various free events, including drag shows and concerts, were held until 10 p.m.
Activists and spectators alike had the chance to attend unprecedented drag shows by the Ru Paul Drag race France cast, as well as free concerts by Eddy de Pretto, Piche and Bilal Hassani… Let’s hope that, once again this year, there will be some great surprises in store for activists and spectators alike!
Initially, the floats were not to be present for ecological reasons last year, but the organizers have reversed this decision. Once again, they should be present this year . Very useful for the LGBTQI+ community, floats enable associations to make themselves known to the general public. The colorful floats are also the means by which music is played, dancers and performers put on a show and send goodies to the crowd. Each float has its own atmosphere and universe. See you next June to celebrate love and tolerance in color and music!
