Luminiscence
Luminiscence invites you to an exceptional musical experience designed to magnify Saint-Eustache Church. In this new version, entitled “Musique Live: Chœur & Orgue “the celestial songs of a choir merge with the power of the great organ to accompany the Luminiscence Orchestra recorded in the famous Guillaume Tell studio (brass quintet, string quartet, harp and percussion).
Dive into a musical journey through time, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque and the Renaissance, with rearranged compositions of works by great masters such as Vivaldi, Bach, Fauré, Handel and Lully. Let yourself be transported by the harmonies of a group of over 20 choristers accompanied by the organists of Saint-Eustache: Thomas Ospital, Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard and Francois Olivier. Together, they’ll reveal the rich acoustics of one of France’s most beautiful churches.
Art and technology in the service of heritage
Thanks to 3D modeling of the building, every architectural detail is captured, from the elegant curved lines of the nave to the vaults and the intricate patterns of the stained glass. Using state-of-the-art projectors, this precision creates a video mapping that follows the architectural structure of the church to the centimetre. In a harmonious sensory ballet, a spatialized 3D soundsystem plays in sync with the powerful voices of the chorus, traveling through the nave to the rhythm of the visual projections. The location is sublime, offering visitors a unique experience unique multi-sensory experience.
But Luminiscence is also (above all) a way of telling a story, the story of its construction. Through a breathtaking visual and musical spectacle, the secrets of this church , whose layout bears a striking resemblance to that of Notre-Dame Cathedral, are revealed.
