A breath of fresh air blows through The Peninsula Paris. Every year, with the arrival of fine weather, the Parisian palace reinvents itself and unveils a new theme for its high-perched terrace. Last year, the Peninsula Rooftop was transformed into a Secret Garden. And this year, epicureans are invited to discover L’Heure dorée, an invitation to dream in all its splendor. Is this one of the most beautiful Rooftops in Paris this season? It certainly is!
When the skies of Paris turn golden, the Rooftop l’Heure Dorée is the perfect setting.
The Rooftop L’Heure Dorée rises like a Garden of Eden between heaven and earth… With the Dame de Fer and Sacré-Coeur in its sights, this ultra-chic rooftop terrace is the perfect place to stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the city. As soon as the sun begins to set and golden hues appear on the horizon, it’s time to get away from it all. The outdoor furniture, with its warm hues and coppery notes, also echoes the sun’s rays…
Comfortably seated on Roche Bobois banquettes in multicolored patterns, aesthetes can let themselves be carried away by a “Belle Époque” playlist imagined by Bon Entendeur. To round off the moment, there’s an attractive cocktail menu, a veritable ode to summer. At the bar, some creations feature The Macallan 12-year-old Scotch whisky, such as the Speyside Sunset (blackberry, ginger, lime, Prosecco) or the Flower of Scotland (elderflower, pineapple and citrus). Especially for the Rooftop L’Heure Dorée, the Peninsula Paris bartending team has also created its own bold, sunny creations. These include Voyage à Saint-Domingue, an exotic tribute to Brugal 1888 rum, (with white vermouth, banana, citrus and almond) or Fleur de Minuit, which subtly marries umeshū with Don Julio Blanco tequila, on notes of citrus and sparkling water.
Sharp cocktails, the melodies of Bon Entendeur and a breathtaking view of the whole of Paris.
As you’ll have gathered, the cocktail menu is as radiant as a summer in full swing, and as flamboyant as Rooftop L’Heure Dorée itself. With their evocative names, these cocktails invite you to travel and celebrate the art of living, like the creations Lueurs Urbaines, Sous les Lys and Nuit Étoilée.
While the melody Le temps est bon floats through the air, and the Eiffel Tower looms in the background… we’re also enjoying some fine summer dishes to share. L’Heure Dorée’s menu was conceived by Executive Chef David Bizet as a nod to the summer season. In this dreamlike setting, gourmets can enjoy a flame-flavored lobster roll, a caviar roll with a hint of the sea, or a poultry and black truffle croque-monsieur, among other refined dishes that smell of long summer evenings.
The secret address for contemplating the most beautiful sunsets
This spring and summer, for suspended moments, the heart of the Rooftop L’Heure Dorée is the place to be. To the rhythm of the music and the sun, the Rooftop at The Peninsula Paris celebrates the French art of living, and promises the finest of summer interludes.
