Do you know Parc Lebaudy? Located on the island of Puteaux, this charming green spot on the banks of the Seine hides a secret… a sublime rose garden of over 200 varieties in a French landscape… For a bucolic stroll worthy of the Bridgerton chronicles!
A sublime free rose garden on the outskirts of Paris
Hidden away on the little-known island of Puteaux, Parc Lebaudy is a veritable haven of peace covering over 33,000 m². It’s so bucolic and relaxing that you’d almost think you were in Paris. When spring arrives, you can admire the sublime varieties of roses in full bloom in the French-style garden. Between the lapping of the fountains, the sculptures and the 200 varieties of heady-scented roses, you’re in for a real change of scene!
2 km long and running through the communes of Puteaux and Neuilly-sur-Seine, you’ll discover pretty arches lining the paths. These are surrounded by climbing roses, adding a delicate hint of color. In the shade of its pergolas, you can see the Damask rose, renowned for its perfume and appreciated by perfumers. Imagined at the end of the 18ᵉ century, the garden still produces excellent quality honey from its varied flowers!
Just like in a fairy tale, you can watch butterflies gathering flowers here and there in the meadow. An enchanting sight to behold from spring through summer. And the best part? It’s 100% free.
