As Notre-Dame Cathedral shines since its reopening, a much-loved Parisian event is set to return to the forecourt! The Fête du Pain version 2025 is gearing up for its 29th edition, and this truly ephemeral open-air bakery will take place from May 1 to 11. We can’t wait!
Spring means the return of the Fête du Pain
Attention all food-lovers and the curious: almost ten days dedicated to bread will set the pace in the heart of Paris in May! The baguette has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it’s time to celebrate this emblem of French gastronomy right in the middle of Notre-Dame square. For this brilliant event, bakers from the four corners of France will be waiting behind their vices to talk to you, educate you and, of course, let you taste the fruits of their know-how.
Traditional French bread will be in the spotlight, amid a host of surprises. Numerous demonstrations will enable you to learn all you need to know about bread, and how it’s kneaded and baked. Among all the baguette tastings, you’ll also be able to take part in competitions, prize-giving ceremonies and many other celebrations aimed at promoting this emblematic delicacy.
Mark your calendars!
