A Beach Club open to all, featuring Mercredi, the cult character from The Addams Family. A gothic and unusual atmosphere in sight, just a few days before season 2 airs on Netflix… One thing’s for sure: Paris Plages has never been so dark…
As gloomy as it is playful, this Wednesday Addams Beach Club is one hell of a hot spot – and it’s been imagined to coincide with the release of season 2.
Imagine purple deckchairs, volleyball nets floating like spider webs, and a funereal photobooth. Yes, this summer, you’ll be able to tan in eternal peace, right in the middle of Mercredi beach! To discover this unique Beach Club – which covers 1,000 m² of the Promenade Édouard Glissant, at the foot of the Musée d’Orsay – go from1ᵉʳ to August 31. On the program: beach volleyball, solo ping-pong, macabre photobooth… all outdoors, in a setting worthy of the Nevermore Academy corridors. The little extra? The Vasque Olympique, which returns to haunt the Paris skyline this summer, will be visible from Mercredi beach.
A deadly launch party at Paris Plages…
And it’s on July 31 – not a Wednesday, but a Thursday – that the most funereal night of the summer will take place: the launch party. On the program: a cocktail of gothic vibes, creepy animations, prestigious international guests (Jenna Ortega? Tim Burton? The mystery remains…), and a private concert to wake the dead. A dark Beach Club with a resolutely gothic ambience? Paris Plages did it – and it was a daring move. But why such a macabre beach, far removed from the Brazilian ambience of this new edition? To celebrate, of course, the long-awaited return of season 2 of Mercredi on Netflix.
The first episode of season 2 will even be screened outdoors, on Mercredi’s beach.
Imagined as a living set straight out of the series, this one-of-a-kind ephemeral venue promises fans a truly immersive experience. The icing on the cake (or rather, the final nail in the coffin?) is an open-air screening of the first episode of season 2 on August 6 at 8pm . A few questions are still burning in our minds: will the sand be raven black? Will Enid Sinclair and The Thing be on board?
